Capturing Active Refrigeration’s Manukau Industrial Installations from a New Perspective
The Challenge
Active Refrigeration Auckland required high-quality visual content to showcase two of their industrial refrigeration installations in the Manukau industrial area. The goal was to highlight the scale, precision, and quality of their engineering work for use in marketing, tender submissions, and social media campaigns. The project location presented a unique challenge, being in close proximity to Auckland Airport, the flight area was restricted and required special operational planning and regulatory approval.
The Solution
Bird’s Eye View was contracted to deliver aerial imagery and cinematic video coverage of both installations. Thanks to our pilot’s professionalism, experience and established reputation, special flight authorisation was obtained, allowing safe and compliant operation within the restricted airspace. A detailed flight plan was executed, capturing:
• High-resolution overhead and oblique shots of plant equipment and layout
• Dynamic video sequences showing scale, symmetry, and site integration
• Timed flights to maximise lighting and visibility while adhering to airspace safety protocols This careful approach ensured that the shoot was conducted efficiently and safely while achieving the visual quality required by the client.
